If you’ve been in Dubai a while, the name Clare Napper’s Highlife Vintage Posters probably rings a bell. And it’s probably quite likely that you own at least one of her prints.
There’s good news for fans of the Dubai-based artist’s work as Napper has teamed up with Spinney’s to release a limited-edition bag for life.
Much like Napper’s prints, the bag features UAE icons including camels, stray cats, a pick-up truck, shish kebabs and Spinney’s famous honey cake.
Available for a limited time only, the bag costs Dhs40 and is available at Spinney’s stores across the country.
Speaking about the design, Napper said: “I took inspiration from many of my favourite decorative art forms from across the world, such as Mexican folk art, Sicilian-painted carts and Pakistani-painted buses.”
With the floral Dior-inspired Spinney’s bags selling like hotcakes last year, if you want to get your hands on one of Napper’s new bags, we suggest you act fast.
Highlife Vintage Posters has been running since 2014 when Napper quit her job in advertising and began documenting her life in the UAE through art. In 2020, Spinney’s partnered with her to create calendars, cards and games.
