Women of Heart Awards WOHA Dubai 2025 took place on June 29 at the Dusit Thani Hotel bringing together a diverse group of women leaders, community figures, and international guests who have contributed to women’s empowerment, humanitarian service, and social impact.
WOHA is a humble initiative of Dr. Desziree Richardson whose vision is to celebrate and empower women globally. This annual international event specifically focuses on the efforts of women who bringing meaningful changes in their communities all across the globe. The theme of the event was “Empowering the World Together”.
The 2025 edition of WOHA Dubai honored women in fields like leadership, philanthropy, education, business, arts, medicine, and humanitarianism. Awardees were selected on a strictly merit-based system. The system and jury evaluated long-term impact, professional references, and personal contributions of all the women nominated for the awards.
International award-winning host Krystle K emceed the ceremony with such elegance and poise, elevating the evening’s atmosphere with her polished presence, eloquence and professionalism.
The event featured powerful reflections and personal anecdotes from the awardees, shedding light on their impactful work in areas such as community development and cultural leadership across diverse regions.
Another significant highlight of the event was the Gentlemen of Heart Awards (GOHA). These awards recognized male allies who support shared leadership and community development.
The event welcomed a diverse gathering of dignitaries, regional leaders, and distinguished guests from diverse sectors. Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Salama Tahnoon Al Nahyan, this year’s event also welcomed Her Excellency Laila Rahhal El Atfani and Dr. Kabir V, among others.
WOHA Dubai serves as an international platform that promotes strength, positive values, and the impact of purposeful leadership among women. Its major purpose is always centered on unity, shared growth, and the recognition of women that have extended their influence beyond their industries and orthodox boundaries.
